JO MALONE - ALL THE FUN OF THE FÊTE, DIR. SAMUEL BRADLEY, PROD. BELLHOUSE MARKES - 16mm
Nostalgic, non-linear character portraits presented through the descriptions of smell, taste and memory of British summer Fêtes. To compliment the real life VO testimonies from the multiple characters we wanted a suitably eclectic range of camera movement and set ups. Steadicam operator Jake Whitehouse and I choreographed some longer narrative style sequences and more playful stand alone shots to add to the collage, using Production Designer Andy Hillman’s amazing set and props. Colourist Toby Tomkins then made the most of the colour palette, channeling all the set ups into one voice, whilst nodding to photographer/director Samuel Bradley’s medium format hand prints of the campaign.
