Director Samona had this great vision to create a sort of non-linear snapshot of a trip away in the future, almost told as a memory, with a really intimate VO between the couple. Terrence Malick was referenced, and we played around with some nice wide angles and lyrical camera moves, as a nod. This is Gucci’s first sustainable/recycled range so we wanted nature and the environment to feature throughout. The decision not to have music in the edit really purified and elevated the VO and sound design; we shot this in a nature reserve in Comporta, Portugal. Graded by Tim Smith at Cheat.
